23 weeks preggers

Wow, the first trimester has definitely been tough for me. Food has lost its taste and I felt nauseous a lot and had actually puked once around midnight. I was also more tired as well. Now I am feeling much better, food tastes good again and am feeling more energetic. The pregnancy bump started showing around 20 weeks. I have only gained 5 pounds so far and I don't look that pregnant. I am down to one pair of jeans that fit me, so I should purchase so looser pants soon. As to physical discomfort, there is this persistent aid around my lower right hip area. At one point, I actually got hemorroid for two weeks from biking for two hours. Apparently pregnancy + biking = hemorroid, which was really unpleasant. So now I use the elliptical machine now and have not run on the treadmill to avoid potential hemorroid occurance.

The fetus is actually kicking now, so it make the pregnancy more real and tangible. The first time I felt it kick, I freaked out completely and had to wake my husband, it was a very alien feeling. My husband and I have not settle on a name yet, but should reach an agreement when the baby is due.

I don't know if I am ready for parent hood yet, I still feel like a kid despite that I am 31. I guess I will take it as it comes.

12 Weeks Pregnant - fetus heart rate 150ish

The past month and a half has been tough on me. I have lost my desire for food, which I absolutely enjoy and love prior, and feel nauseous a lot. Add to the annoyance, there is this slight bitter taste in my mouth from time to time. My coworker asks me if I am excited, and I have to pause and think and respond half heartedly that I am excited. It is hard to feel excited when I am feeling so crappy.

So yay to the end of the first trimester, supposedly one day magically soon I will feel normal again. I have not realized until now that a good quality of life has a lot to do with good food.

So to recap what has happened the last 2 months, I suspected that I am pregnant when my period was a week late, but didn't really give too much thought to it since my husband and I have been trying for a year now and was unsuccessful, so perhaps it was a random fluke that it was late. But then 6th weeks (from start of last period) rolls around, still no period. However, there are constant sort of pinkish, brown stains on my panties which I read was normal, but then I started bleeding for two days, not heavy, but not light either. The bleeding started with a sensation that a river has burst through a dam, I thought I had miscarried and was a little bummed out, but didn't give it too much though because I can definitively find out on the 7th week because I have a OB/GYN appointment. As it turns out the embryo is still there, yay, at 7 weeks and 5 days with normal heart rate of 177.
